Flip, flop. My feet slapped against the wet, metal stairs at the Hanmer Springs hydro slides. It was only a matter of time before my feet would hit the last stair. It's going to be fine, it's going to be fine, I kept on saying to myself. One corner left... Then suddenly, WHOOSH. I felt like I had sped through time, because I felt it was only seconds ago that my feet had hit the first stair. Here I was, about to climb onto my donut-shaped floaty and go zooming down the Super Bowl, all by myself as a small, innocent 7-year-old.
"Next!" The hydroslide monitor shouted. I gulped. I was just seconds from death…
"I am too young to die!!!" I yelled.
"What?" The hydroslide lady said, as though she was extremely confused. I placed my floaty on the water and slowly climbed on.
VROOM. I went rushing down the hydroslide at top speed. Just as I reached sunlight, I went flying forwards. I was missing something. I searched behind me and saw my floaty stuck in the entrance of the bowl.
I had reached the end soon enough. Everybody looked at me like was mad, with no floaty like I was supposed to. Afterwards, dad told me that he was right behind me, and he smashed into my floaty which ended with chasing me. Uh oh...

  1. This is really funny! When you shouted 'IM TOO YOUNG YO DIE!'
I found it really funny. I love the words you use in your stories! I felt embarrassed myself when you wrote 'everyone looked at me like I was mad'. You know that feeling, when you read something and you feel what the main character is feeling?
This story reminds me of when I went on the hydro-slide at Jelly park and smashed into someone at the end and really hurt myself. I guess we've all had an accident on the hydro-slide...
