The Lonely Girl

Cheers, screams and happiness echo around her.
A single tear trickles down her face, followed by a river.
Her lips tremble, and they are cracked in dryness.
Her pale face and rosy cheeks are as cold as ice in the morning light.
Her hair knots itself in jealousy, while she wishes silently for some friends.
She sits down in a dark corner, and falls asleep, dreaming happy dreams.
